Célia Cassaï, one of our recent artists-in-residence, finds joy in working closely with nature. With a deep ecological commitment reflected in both her daily life and creative practice, she attentively observes and cares for the natural world—an ethos that naturally shapes her artistic and conceptual work. Her creative process is rooted in themes of transformation, evolution, and the ephemeral quality of living elements.

During her residency with us, her practice revolved around walking, wandering, and collecting, with particular focus on observing the intricate forms created by nature.

In November 2023, Célia entrusted her work to HostingArt for the fourth edition of the Don Papa Art Program. She was selected as the winner by a jury composed of professionals from both the art and spirits industries. This year, Orange Project welcomed her to the Philippines for the residency in partnership with Don Papa Rum.

Since then, her research has primarily explored the plant world, driven by a desire to recreate the landscapes she encounters through gathered natural materials. Her works were showcased at Art Fair Philippines 2025, held from February 21 to 23, 2025.
