A collaboration by sculptor Rafael Paderna and artist Charlie Co is the second of the BAO series created by Paderna for the Angelica Berrie Foundation. It is Paderna’s contribution to the various public art installations at the Art District in time for the 30th year celebration of the VIVA Excon this 8th of November 2020.

This collaborative artwork with the carabao standing against the side of the wall shows that however the sugar industry is crumbling, turned upside down, and hit from all sides, the farmer may scream in frustration and disappointment but knows his reliable, trustworthy carabao is still by his side, colored in blood red to resemble strength, resiliency, and simply being alive.

So when you pass by Orange Project at Art District, don’t be surprised that you’ll see a CARABAO on the wall.
