Tomotosi presents six videos and photographic works documenting his journey of connection and communication with the people of Bacolod. During his first week in the city, he visited The Ruins, reflecting on the events of 80 years ago during the Japanese occupation. Despite receiving a warm welcome at the Orange Project, he grappled with uncertainty about belonging. This inner conflict led him to spend the next two months contemplating the potential for friendship between Filipinos and Japanese. Through this Residency Output, Tomotosi captures his efforts to connect with the local community by engaging in fundamental everyday actions—walking, carrying, eating, listening, and waiting—woven into the rhythm of his daily life in Bacolod.
