A celebration of diverse beauty; The Philippines is a treasure trove of rich and diverse flora, with many species endemic to our archipelago. These botanical wonders face significant threats from habitat loss and environmental changes. FLORA FILIPINA presents an exhibition featuring the works of Floral Artists Manila (FAM), who capture the natural beauty of our native blooms while raising awareness about their fragility and vital importance to our ecosystem.
Through a captivating array of mediums including paintings, sculptures, mosaics, embroideries, and installation art, FAM artists pay homage to the rich tapestry of native Philippine flowers. Their artworks inspire us to take pride in our natural heritage, but also a call to action for conservation efforts to protect these precious species and their habitats.
Aligned with Orange Project’s mission to have an inclusive local contemporary art and culture exchange, FLORA FILIPINA invites the community to engage in a dialogue about the profound connection between nature and creativity. Through the lens of an audience, we can cultivate appreciation and inspire action, ensuring that the flowers which define our landscapes will continue to flourish for generations to come. -CMN
