Majica is dedicated in providing an opportunity for local artists to express their reflections on the different perspectives surrounding the annual Masskara Festival celebrated in Bacolod City.

“Elemental” is the most in-depth and wide-range collaborative exhibition in the 18 years of Majica. It is a three-month, city-wide interweaving of different artforms and disciplines including sustainable fashion, interactive AI installations, sculptures, paintings, music, dance, performance, design, literature, moving image, and discussions.

This incremental collaboration is rooted in how magic was originally conceived in the dawning years of alchemy and chemistry. It is rooted in making use of the natural elements to show the awe of science rather than to deceive or trick like how it is popularly known in recent years. It looks into the complex presence of humanity. This core of coming together to work in an environment of harmony is the challenge, the message, and the magic.
